Tear-Free Drop-Off, Sensory Nature Play & Certified Preschool Teachers in Pound Ridge. Designed for Ages 3 to 6. Programming quality at Wee Woodland Preschool Summer Nest seemed to depend heavily on which counselor was leading a given activity block. Sessions run 2 to 8 Weeks, 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM daily.
2. Aquatics & Water Safety
Lifeguard staffing at Wee Woodland Preschool Summer Nest looked adequate on the schedule but thin in practice when we counted heads at the pool deck.
3. Staffing & Supervision Standards
Camper-to-counselor ratios sit at 1:3 (Nursery/Pre-K), 1:4 (Kindergarten). Mid-summer counselor turnover disrupted continuity for at least a few families we spoke with. (per our Pound Ridge visit, est. 1958)
4. Logistics, Transportation & Catering
Bus routes serving Pound Ridge were inconsistent in our tracking, sometimes running 15-20 minutes off schedule. Lunch quality varied by day.
