1. Program Focus & Daily Activities
Private Spring-Fed Lake, Stand-Up Paddleboarding & Heated Pools in Pound Ridge. Designed for Ages 4 to 15. Daily structure for Ages 4 to 15 campers was looser than we'd expect, bordering on unsupervised free time for long stretches. Sessions run 2 to 8 Weeks, 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM daily.
2. Aquatics & Water Safety
We did not observe structured swim instruction during our visit, and the pool deck was understaffed. (per our Pound Ridge visit, est. 1980)
3. Staffing & Supervision Standards
Camper-to-counselor ratios sit at 1:4 (Nursery/Pre-K), 1:6 (Grades 1-3), 1:8 (Grades 4+). Several counselors we observed seemed undertrained for the responsibility they'd been given. (per our Pound Ridge visit, est. 1980)
4. Logistics, Transportation & Catering
Transportation logistics at Stillwater of Pound Ridge Lakeside Day Camp were disorganized during our visit, with unclear communication about delays affecting Pound Ridge routes.
