1. Program Focus & Daily Activities
Coast Guard Certified Skippers, Saltmarsh Ecology & Paddleboard Expeditions in Greenwich. Designed for Ages 6 to 15. Daily activities are well-organized and age-appropriate for Ages 6 to 15, if not especially inventive. Sessions run 2 to 8 Weeks, 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM daily.
2. Aquatics & Water Safety
Solid swim instruction most days; pools are heated and adequately staffed.
3. Staffing & Supervision Standards
Camper-to-counselor ratios sit at 1:4 (Boats), 1:6 (Shore Labs). Counselor training covers the essentials; nothing exceptional, but nothing that raised concerns either. (per our Greenwich visit, est. 1956)
4. Logistics, Transportation & Catering
Transportation logistics at Starboard Sound Shore Adventure are functional and mostly on time; catering covers the basics — hot lunch, nut-free policy, afternoon snacks.
