Coast Guard Certified Skippers, Saltmarsh Ecology & Paddleboard Expeditions in Hastings-on-Hudson. Designed for Ages 6 to 15. Starboard of Hastings-on-Hudson Coastal Water Camp's schedule balances sailing & marine ecology activities with enough free time that campers didn't seem over-programmed. Sessions run 2 to 8 Weeks, 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM daily.
2. Aquatics & Water Safety
Swim instruction happens on a consistent schedule, with lifeguards visibly attentive during our visit. (per our Hastings-on-Hudson visit, est. 2019)
3. Staffing & Supervision Standards
Camper-to-counselor ratios sit at 1:4 (Boats), 1:6 (Shore Labs). Most bunk leaders at Starboard of Hastings-on-Hudson Coastal Water Camp returned from a prior summer, which helps with continuity even if the ratio isn't the tightest we've seen.
4. Logistics, Transportation & Catering
Bus service covers Hastings-on-Hudson and nearby towns reliably, and carline moves at a reasonable pace. Lunch is nut-sensitive with a rotating hot option most days.
