Coast Guard Certified Skippers, Saltmarsh Ecology & Paddleboard Expeditions in Bedford. Designed for Ages 6 to 15. Daily structure for Ages 6 to 15 campers was looser than we'd expect, bordering on unsupervised free time for long stretches. Sessions run 2 to 8 Weeks, 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM daily.
2. Aquatics & Water Safety
Lifeguard coverage at Starboard of Bedford Sailing & Marine Camp did not meet the ratio we'd consider acceptable for a group of this size in the water.
3. Staffing & Supervision Standards
Camper-to-counselor ratios sit at 1:4 (Boats), 1:6 (Shore Labs). Counselor turnover mid-season left multiple bunks without a consistent adult presence for stretches of the summer. (per our Bedford visit, est. 2005)
4. Logistics, Transportation & Catering
Transportation logistics at Starboard of Bedford Sailing & Marine Camp were disorganized during our visit, with unclear communication about delays affecting Bedford routes.
