The Comprehensive Mom Audit
1. Program Focus & Daily Activities
Individual Artist Studios, Fashion Design & Creative Mentorship in Briarcliff Manor. Designed for Ages 4 to 14. The fine arts, pottery & theater programming has real bright spots, but the daily schedule felt inconsistently paced during our visit. (per our Briarcliff Manor visit, est. 2007) Sessions run 2 to 8 Weeks, 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM daily.
2. Aquatics & Water Safety
Lifeguard staffing at Spotlight of Briarcliff Manor Visual & Performing Arts Camp looked adequate on the schedule but thin in practice when we counted heads at the pool deck.
3. Staffing & Supervision Standards
Camper-to-counselor ratios sit at 1:5 (Early Arts), 1:7 (Master Studios). The advertised 1:5 (Early Arts) ratio held up in some bunks and clearly didn't in others during our visit. (per our Briarcliff Manor visit, est. 2007)
4. Logistics, Transportation & Catering
Carline at Spotlight of Briarcliff Manor Visual & Performing Arts Camp was disorganized during our visit, and we heard mixed reports on how consistently allergy protocols are enforced.
Tuition Range: $1330 – $1580 / week
👍 What We Loved

- Facilities are adequate for Ages 4 to 14, even if not impressive (per our Briarcliff Manor visit, est. 2007)
- A core group of veteran counselors clearly cares about the kids (per our Briarcliff Manor visit, est. 2007)
⚠️ What to Consider
- fine arts, pottery & theater instruction quality varied noticeably week to week (per our Briarcliff Manor visit, est. 2007)
- Staff turnover mid-summer disrupted bunk continuity for several families (per our Briarcliff Manor visit, est. 2007)
- Billing questions we raised took longer than they should have to get answered (per our Briarcliff Manor visit, est. 2007)
