18 Shaded Acres of Sports Leagues, Swim Progression & Field Day Traditions in Harrison. Designed for Ages 3 to 14. Some Ages 3 to 14 activities at Pinecrest Recreation Day Camp were genuinely engaging; others felt like filler between the highlights. Sessions run 2 to 8 Weeks, 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM daily.
2. Aquatics & Water Safety
Lifeguard staffing at Pinecrest Recreation Day Camp looked adequate on the schedule but thin in practice when we counted heads at the pool deck.
3. Staffing & Supervision Standards
Camper-to-counselor ratios sit at 1:4 (Pre-K), 1:6 (Elementary), 1:8 (Tweens). Mid-summer counselor turnover disrupted continuity for at least a few families we spoke with. (per our Harrison visit, est. 1970)
4. Logistics, Transportation & Catering
Bus routes serving Harrison were inconsistent in our tracking, sometimes running 15-20 minutes off schedule. Lunch quality varied by day.
