The Comprehensive Mom Audit
1. Program Focus & Daily Activities
Tear-Free Drop-Off, Sensory Nature Play & Certified Preschool Teachers in Yorktown Heights. Designed for Ages 3 to 6. Daily activities are well-organized and age-appropriate for Ages 3 to 6, if not especially inventive. (per our Yorktown Heights visit, est. 1972) Sessions run 2 to 8 Weeks, 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM daily.
2. Aquatics & Water Safety
The pool program at Nest & Branch Junior Day Camp covers the basics competently — heated water, certified staff, a reasonable ratio in the water.
3. Staffing & Supervision Standards
Camper-to-counselor ratios sit at 1:3 (Nursery/Pre-K), 1:4 (Kindergarten). Most bunk leaders at Nest & Branch Junior Day Camp returned from a prior summer, which helps with continuity even if the ratio isn't the tightest we've seen.
4. Logistics, Transportation & Catering
Bus service covers Yorktown Heights and nearby towns reliably, and carline moves at a reasonable pace. Lunch is nut-sensitive with a rotating hot option most days.
Tuition Range: $1380 – $1630 / week
