1. Program Focus & Daily Activities
High-Energy Games, Ropes Course & Classic Camp Camaraderie in Cos Cob. Designed for Ages 3 to 14. What Maplewood Adventure Day Camp calls a curriculum looked, during our visit, more like improvisation. Sessions run 2 to 8 Weeks, 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM daily.
2. Aquatics & Water Safety
Pool was closed for repairs during part of our audit window with no clear parent communication about the closure.
3. Staffing & Supervision Standards
Camper-to-counselor ratios sit at 1:4 (Pre-K), 1:6 (Elementary), 1:8 (Tweens). Adult supervision felt thin relative to the number of Ages 3 to 14 campers on site during our visit.
4. Logistics, Transportation & Catering
We observed carline chaos and heard specific parent complaints about billing and late pickup fees that felt punitive rather than reasonable. (per our Cos Cob visit, est. 1966)
