Exceptional 1:3 Pre-K Ratios, Zero-Depth Wading Pools & Gentle Care in Cos Cob. Designed for Ages 3 to 6. Some Ages 3 to 6 activities at Little Acorns Preschool Summer Nest were genuinely engaging; others felt like filler between the highlights. Sessions run 2 to 8 Weeks, 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM daily.
2. Aquatics & Water Safety
Pool access is inconsistent — some weeks get real instruction, others are closer to unsupervised splash time. (per our Cos Cob visit, est. 1968)
3. Staffing & Supervision Standards
Camper-to-counselor ratios sit at 1:3 (Nursery/Pre-K), 1:4 (Kindergarten). The advertised 1:3 (Nursery/Pre-K) ratio held up in some bunks and clearly didn't in others during our visit. (per our Cos Cob visit, est. 1968)
4. Logistics, Transportation & Catering
Carline at Little Acorns Preschool Summer Nest was disorganized during our visit, and we heard mixed reports on how consistently allergy protocols are enforced.
