Tear-Free Drop-Off, Sensory Nature Play & Certified Preschool Teachers in Fairfield. Designed for Ages 3 to 6. Some Ages 3 to 6 activities at Hummingbird Junior Day Camp were genuinely engaging; others felt like filler between the highlights. Sessions run 2 to 8 Weeks, 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM daily.
2. Aquatics & Water Safety
We saw genuine swim instruction on one visit and largely unstructured pool time on another — consistency is the issue, not capability. (per our Fairfield visit, est. 2002)
3. Staffing & Supervision Standards
Camper-to-counselor ratios sit at 1:3 (Nursery/Pre-K), 1:4 (Kindergarten). The advertised 1:3 (Nursery/Pre-K) ratio held up in some bunks and clearly didn't in others during our visit. (per our Fairfield visit, est. 2002)
4. Logistics, Transportation & Catering
Carline at Hummingbird Junior Day Camp was disorganized during our visit, and we heard mixed reports on how consistently allergy protocols are enforced.
Tuition Range: $1380 – $1630 / week
