The Comprehensive Mom Audit
1. Program Focus & Daily Activities
Ceramics, Open-Air Easels & Musical Theater Showcases in Tuckahoe. Designed for Ages 4 to 14. The fine arts, pottery & theater programming has real bright spots, but the daily schedule felt inconsistently paced during our visit. (per our Tuckahoe visit, est. 2010) Sessions run 2 to 8 Weeks, 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM daily.
2. Aquatics & Water Safety
Lifeguard staffing at Harmonics of Tuckahoe Creative Arts Camp looked adequate on the schedule but thin in practice when we counted heads at the pool deck.
3. Staffing & Supervision Standards
Camper-to-counselor ratios sit at 1:5 (Early Arts), 1:7 (Master Studios). The advertised 1:5 (Early Arts) ratio held up in some bunks and clearly didn't in others during our visit. (per our Tuckahoe visit, est. 2010)
4. Logistics, Transportation & Catering
Carline at Harmonics of Tuckahoe Creative Arts Camp was disorganized during our visit, and we heard mixed reports on how consistently allergy protocols are enforced.
Tuition Range: $1650 – $1900 / week
👍 What We Loved
- A core group of veteran counselors clearly cares about the kids (per our Tuckahoe visit, est. 2010)
- When the 1:5 (Early Arts) ratio held, supervision quality was genuinely good (per our Tuckahoe visit, est. 2010)
- The best bunks we observed had genuinely excellent counselors (per our Tuckahoe visit, est. 2010)
⚠️ What to Consider
- fine arts, pottery & theater instruction quality varied noticeably week to week (per our Tuckahoe visit, est. 2010)
- Communication was inconsistent — some updates, long silences other weeks (per our Tuckahoe visit, est. 2010)
- The advertised 1:5 (Early Arts) ratio didn't consistently hold up in practice (per our Tuckahoe visit, est. 2010)
