1. Program Focus & Daily Activities
Pedagogical Supervision, Classic Camp Songs & Character Growth in Pound Ridge. Designed for Ages 3 to 14. Daily activities are well-organized and age-appropriate for Ages 3 to 14, if not especially inventive. (per our Pound Ridge visit, est. 2001) Sessions run 2 to 8 Weeks, 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM daily.
2. Aquatics & Water Safety
Swim instruction happens on a consistent schedule, with lifeguards visibly attentive during our visit. (per our Pound Ridge visit, est. 2001)
3. Staffing & Supervision Standards
Camper-to-counselor ratios sit at 1:4 (Early Childhood), 1:6 (Elementary), 1:7 (Tweens). Most bunk leaders at Governor’s of Pound Ridge Heritage Day Camp returned from a prior summer, which helps with continuity even if the ratio isn't the tightest we've seen.
4. Logistics, Transportation & Catering
Bus service covers Pound Ridge and nearby towns reliably, and carline moves at a reasonable pace. Lunch is nut-sensitive with a rotating hot option most days.
