1. Program Focus & Daily Activities
Ceramics, Open-Air Easels & Musical Theater Showcases in Monroe. Designed for Ages 4 to 14. Programming quality at Footlights Visual & Performing Arts Camp seemed to depend heavily on which counselor was leading a given activity block. Sessions run 2 to 8 Weeks, 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM daily.
2. Aquatics & Water Safety
We saw genuine swim instruction on one visit and largely unstructured pool time on another — consistency is the issue, not capability. (per our Monroe visit, est. 2012)
3. Staffing & Supervision Standards
Camper-to-counselor ratios sit at 1:5 (Early Arts), 1:7 (Master Studios). Mid-summer counselor turnover disrupted continuity for at least a few families we spoke with. (per our Monroe visit, est. 2012)
4. Logistics, Transportation & Catering
Carline at Footlights Visual & Performing Arts Camp was disorganized during our visit, and we heard mixed reports on how consistently allergy protocols are enforced.
Tuition Range: $1530 – $1780 / week
👍 What We Loved
- Tuition ($1530 – $1780 / week) is more reasonable than comparable camps in Monroe
- The best bunks we observed had genuinely excellent counselors (per our Monroe visit, est. 2012)
- Facilities are adequate for Ages 4 to 14, even if not impressive
