The Comprehensive Mom Audit
1. Program Focus & Daily Activities
High-Energy Games, Ropes Course & Classic Camp Camaraderie in Newtown. Designed for Ages 3 to 14. Some Ages 3 to 14 activities at Chestnut Hill Outdoor Camp were genuinely engaging; others felt like filler between the highlights. Sessions run 2 to 8 Weeks, 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM daily.
2. Aquatics & Water Safety
Unheated pool on cooler days, and lifeguard coverage felt thin during our visit. (per our Newtown visit, est. 2017)
3. Staffing & Supervision Standards
Camper-to-counselor ratios sit at 1:4 (Pre-K), 1:6 (Elementary), 1:8 (Tweens). The advertised 1:4 (Pre-K) ratio held up in some bunks and clearly didn't in others during our visit. (per our Newtown visit, est. 2017)
4. Logistics, Transportation & Catering
Carline at Chestnut Hill Outdoor Camp was disorganized during our visit, and we heard mixed reports on how consistently allergy protocols are enforced.
Tuition Range: $1380 – $1630 / week
👍 What We Loved

- A few families we spoke with in Newtown had entirely positive experiences (per our Newtown visit, est. 2017)
⚠️ What to Consider

- traditional & multi-sport instruction quality varied noticeably week to week (per our Newtown visit, est. 2017)
- We heard mixed reports on how allergy protocols are actually enforced (per our Newtown visit, est. 2017)
