Robotics Coding, 3D Prototyping & Afternoon Heated Pool Breaks in Yorktown Heights. Designed for Ages 5 to 13. Daily structure for Ages 5 to 13 campers was looser than we'd expect, bordering on unsupervised free time for long stretches. Sessions run 2 to 8 Weeks, 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM daily.
2. Aquatics & Water Safety
Lifeguard coverage at Catalyst of Yorktown Heights Tech & Maker Academy did not meet the ratio we'd consider acceptable for a group of this size in the water.
3. Staffing & Supervision Standards
Camper-to-counselor ratios sit at 1:5 (Junior Makers), 1:7 (Advanced Lab). Counselor turnover mid-season left multiple bunks without a consistent adult presence for stretches of the summer. (per our Yorktown Heights visit, est. 1993)
4. Logistics, Transportation & Catering
Transportation logistics at Catalyst of Yorktown Heights Tech & Maker Academy were disorganized during our visit, with unclear communication about delays affecting Yorktown Heights routes.
