The Mom Verdict (Caroline & Brooke)

"We wanted to like Catalyst of Tarrytown Future Lab Camp in Tarrytown more than we did. The good moments were genuinely good; the gaps were genuinely concerning."

The Comprehensive Mom Audit

1. Program Focus & Daily Activities

Hands-On Engineering, AI Tinkering & Outdoor Science Discovery in Tarrytown. Designed for Ages 5 to 13. Programming quality at Catalyst of Tarrytown Future Lab Camp seemed to depend heavily on which counselor was leading a given activity block. Sessions run 2 to 8 Weeks, 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM daily.

2. Aquatics & Water Safety

Pool access is inconsistent — some weeks get real instruction, others are closer to unsupervised splash time. (per our Tarrytown visit, est. 2004)

3. Staffing & Supervision Standards

Camper-to-counselor ratios sit at 1:5 (Junior Makers), 1:7 (Advanced Lab). Staff at Catalyst of Tarrytown Future Lab Camp lean young, and supervision quality depended heavily on which specific counselor was on duty.

4. Logistics, Transportation & Catering

Carline at Catalyst of Tarrytown Future Lab Camp was disorganized during our visit, and we heard mixed reports on how consistently allergy protocols are enforced.

Tuition Range: $1560 – $1810 / week

👍 What We Loved

  • The best bunks we observed had genuinely excellent counselors (per our Tarrytown visit, est. 2004)
  • Tuition ($1560 – $1810 / week) is more reasonable than comparable camps in Tarrytown
