1. Program Focus & Daily Activities
Private Spring-Fed Lake, Stand-Up Paddleboarding & Heated Pools in Redding. Designed for Ages 4 to 15. What Beaver Creek of Redding Lakeside Day Camp calls a curriculum looked, during our visit, more like improvisation. Sessions run 2 to 8 Weeks, 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM daily.
2. Aquatics & Water Safety
We did not observe structured swim instruction during our visit, and the pool deck was understaffed. (per our Redding visit, est. 2010)
3. Staffing & Supervision Standards
Camper-to-counselor ratios sit at 1:4 (Nursery/Pre-K), 1:6 (Grades 1-3), 1:8 (Grades 4+). Adult supervision felt thin relative to the number of Ages 4 to 15 campers on site during our visit.
4. Logistics, Transportation & Catering
Transportation logistics at Beaver Creek of Redding Lakeside Day Camp were disorganized during our visit, with unclear communication about delays affecting Redding routes.
Tuition Range: $1550 – $1800 / week

- At least one counselor we observed was clearly skilled and well-liked by campers
- A handful of long-tenured staff were genuinely excellent with Ages 4 to 15 campers

- Swim safety practices did not meet the standard we look for (per our Redding visit, est. 2010)
- Facilities showed real signs of deferred maintenance (per our Redding visit, est. 2010)
- Tuition ($1550 – $1800 / week) does not reflect what's actually delivered
- Multiple parents we spoke with in Redding reported billing or communication issues
