Water Sports, Kayak Obstacles & Shaded Waterfront Pavilions in Croton-on-Hudson. Designed for Ages 4 to 15. The lakeside & waterfront programming has real bright spots, but the daily schedule felt inconsistently paced during our visit. 2. Aquatics & Water Safety
Lifeguard staffing at Beaver Creek of Croton-on-Hudson Lakeside Day Camp looked adequate on the schedule but thin in practice when we counted heads at the pool deck.
3. Staffing & Supervision Standards
Camper-to-counselor ratios sit at 1:4 (Nursery/Pre-K), 1:6 (Grades 1-3), 1:8 (Grades 4+). Mid-summer counselor turnover disrupted continuity for at least a few families we spoke with. (per our Croton-on-Hudson visit, est. 1990)
4. Logistics, Transportation & Catering
Bus routes serving Croton-on-Hudson were inconsistent in our tracking, sometimes running 15-20 minutes off schedule. Lunch quality varied by day.
