Harbor Navigation, Knot-Tying & Daily Long Island Sound Regattas in Newtown. Designed for Ages 6 to 15. Some Ages 6 to 15 activities at Anchor Bay Marine Biology Day Camp were genuinely engaging; others felt like filler between the highlights. Sessions run 2 to 8 Weeks, 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM daily.
2. Aquatics & Water Safety
Lifeguard staffing at Anchor Bay Marine Biology Day Camp looked adequate on the schedule but thin in practice when we counted heads at the pool deck.
3. Staffing & Supervision Standards
Camper-to-counselor ratios sit at 1:4 (Boats), 1:6 (Shore Labs). Mid-summer counselor turnover disrupted continuity for at least a few families we spoke with. (per our Newtown visit, est. 2018)
4. Logistics, Transportation & Catering
Carline at Anchor Bay Marine Biology Day Camp was disorganized during our visit, and we heard mixed reports on how consistently allergy protocols are enforced.
